Ms. Deepa, chairman of Dean Foundation (Hospice and Palliative Care Centre), passionately introducing Mr. Hongchi Xiao before he addressed the TAG-VHS Diabetes Research Centre-Fourth Annual Day Oration at Bhavan’s Dr Preetha Reddy Auditorium in Chennai on Sunday (8 March, 2015):

In the annals of human history, through the growth of nations and the rise and fall of empires, a few Pioneers left their indelible mark on the footprints of time. Mr. Hongchi is one such person.

Master Hongchi Xiao was insanely curious, sought answers in unlikely places and went beyond his comfort zone. Unafraid of courting danger, he displayed extraordinary tenacity and brushing aside all impediments, he determined to go all the way to the source…

Those who persist in the face of all adversity — will find that they are led by a supreme power to fulfill God’s purpose on earth. The higher and clearer your intent, the more meaningful the coincidences encountered.

Such a child of destiny is Master Hongchi Xiao. He meekly allowed himself to be led by a series of unconnected coincidences. Surrendering to the whims of strange requests — he embarked on the journey to the discovery of self-healing. He knew that “when you really want to do something, opportunities present themselves before you.”

Many companions accompanied him on his journeys to monasteries, temples, and even deep forests — and through each journey, he gained deep insights — along with systems of traditional healing. Masses followed him, asking for healing, and he treated them using various healing modalities.

On one of his Journeys, through a remote area, he thought to himself, “People always rush through life, and it is very difficult to persistently focus on one point. Indeed, isn’t meditation in various forms the practice of attentiveness?”

One of his fellow travelers was, Mr. Huang Jian. He was a photo journalist. He heard about Master Hongchi’s quest and got his permission to accompany him wherever he went. “Does inward inspection practiced by ancient Chinese, have something to do with such loneliness?” Both shared the same goal — to promote the art of healing and Oriental culture.

Master Hongchi talks of Huang Jian, being just like him — Driven with Dream, passion, plus action — for that’s what it takes to make a dream come true!

Talking about Master Hongchi, his friend Huang said, “When you are absolutely sure of something, it naturally opens a door for you. You went from the finance world, to writing a novel and script for the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, and to learning Chinese medicine and healing people.”

In his quest for healing, he learnt that diseases result in blockages of energy flow.

A legend who joins the league of extraordinary healers, Master Hongchi pioneered the technique of Paida Lajin, forsaking all other techniques that he learnt, so that what he taught could be practiced by the common man in the absence of a Master. He proved that Paida Lajin could balance energy flow and return the body to its balanced, harmonious state.

He believes in the secret of Pain, showing the way to deep healing and subsequent recovery, preventing sickness, even before it could manifest. He travels all over the world teaching his way of Self healing.

Huang Jian’s father, was treated with modern medicine against the wishes of the family, and he soon died of Cancer. Soon after his Father’s death, he shot a documentary of Chinese medicine to prove to the world, its efficacy.

Master Hongchi (whose Mother was a Doctor), agrees with this photo journalist, who said, “I hope that one day, when we get into the same dilemma, we won’t have to panic, because we still have another option. With the wisdom left behind by our great ancestors, and the drugs that nature bestows us, we can bravely co-exist with diseases and dance with the pain. We can walk to the end of our lives with dignity.”

On this note of immense optimism and hope, I request Master Hongchi to deliver the Oration[:zh]
